2007 American Haflinger Registry Performance Award Winner!

Congratulations are in order to Bill Hendershot of Hendershot New Millennium Haflingers of Cameron Mills, New York. He and his 2002 Silver Classified mare, Limited Edition HNMH, are the 2007 High Point Driving Performance Grand Champion for AHR for the second year in a row.

Limited Edition, or Lilly as we call her, is a 6 year old mare. Her sire is the Dutch imported stallion Willo van het Spick and her dam is the Austrian imported mare, daughter of Nabucco, named Lustige WULF. Lilly is a mare that is helping to show the non Haflinger world just how versatile the Haflingers really are.

She is Bill’s personal favorite show horse and he drives her all the time. Whether it is a nice sunny day in Cameron Mills, or at a horse show. She is one of our 8 Haflingers that we plan on hauling in 2008, to both Haflinger shows and open shows around the country.

Lilly’s half brother, New Millennium Magic HNMH, a yearling gelding, is who Bill is looking at to replace Lilly as his show horse when he retires her to our broodmare band. But then again, as much fun as he is having with Lilly, that may be a few years.
